Most businesses replace computers as needed. When it stops working, buy a replacement. This is sometime acceptable for the desktop that only interrupts one person, but what about the rest of the equipment.  That dusty network switch in a closet? That big server that is too loud to be in the same room as you? If these stop working, most of the computers become minimally functional.
